Flow Through Summer: What Is It?
A summer experience to work with the heat of the season and befriend our fire.
Something inside is ready to rise
Flow Through Summer Is the Season to Let It.
Hi. Let’s start,
Summer doesn’t ask permission. It builds heat, builds light, pushes growth whether you’ve consciously decided to grow or not. Your nervous system already knows this. The question is whether you’re moving with that rising energy or quietly bracing against it.
Maybe you’ve spent the year managing. Holding it together. Doing the responsible thing, the steady thing, the thing that keeps everyone else’s world running. That’s not a failure. That’s discipline. But discipline without release becomes its own kind of cage.
Or maybe you’re already in motion, already building toward something, and what you need isn’t a reset. It’s fuel. A container that can hold the intensity you’re generating instead of asking you to dial it down.
Either way, summer isn’t a season for sitting still. It’s a season for activation.

Summer doesn’t grow from absence. It grows from heat that’s already present, demanding direction. Undisciplined, that heat scatters. Channeled, it becomes the most powerful upregulating force in the entire yearly cycle. That’s exactly what this program is built to do.
Flow Through Summer is not a calming program. It’s not designed to soothe you into stillness. It’s designed to take energy you already have and give it somewhere disciplined to go.
That’s where Yoga Therapy enters the conversation.
What is Flow Through Summer, actually?
Flow Through Summer is a virtual yoga therapy intensive built for upregulation. Six live group sessions, one every Sunday, facilitated by Osiris Booque, an internationally certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT).
It is not a yoga class. It’s not a wellness retreat where everyone whispers and you leave feeling vaguely relaxed and unchanged. It’s a structured activation container that builds heat deliberately, then teaches you what to do with it.
Every session works with Kapalabhati, the breath of fire. It’s a rapid, rhythmic breath that pumps the belly and clears stagnant energy out of the system, the kind of breath that wakes up a body that’s been running on autopilot. We don’t switch techniques week to week. We deepen this one. Each session, you hold it longer, push further into the heat it generates, and build a relationship with intensity instead of flinching from it.
The program runs as two separate cohorts: a men’s container and a women’s container, each its own six-week arc, both held in summer. The work is the same caliber in both rooms. The container is different because what gets activated, and what gets witnessed, moves differently when the room understands it without explanation. That’s not a limitation. It’s the point.
A third space, for the nonbinary and two-spirit community, will open when that community asks for it. This isn’t a placeholder. It’s a real invitation, waiting on the right timing.
This is not the integration work of winter or the clarity work of spring. This is the season where the body becomes the teacher. You move, you breathe, you build heat, and you find out what’s been waiting underneath the managing and the holding it together.
The six Flow Through Summer sessions, in plain language
Flow Through Summer moves through a six-stage arc that gets more intense as it goes, not less. There’s no plateau week. No open integration stretch. The momentum is the point.
Session 1: Befriending : We open the season by befriending the body, learning to notice where you are without judgment and cultivate presence. Through mindful movement, self-presence work, and somatic check-ins, we lay a foundation of trust between you and your own skin that everything ahead is built on.
Session 2: Awareness & Acceptance : Building on the presence cultivated in our first Session, we move into awareness and acceptance: naming what we notice without judgment, and sitting with what we have been resisting.
Session 3: Choice : With awareness and acceptance as our ground, we explore choice: empowered, embodied decision-making. Each day you set one aligned choice in the morning and honestly reflect on it at night, building coherence between what you intend and what you do.
Session 4: Discernment : This session sharpens discernment: distinguishing genuine clarity from doubt, expectation, and noise. Before any significant action, ask whether it moves you toward who you are becoming, or away from it.
Session 5: Truth : Truth is the work of this week: writing true statements about your life, moving with whatever is honest today, and noticing what you are still pretending not to know.
Session 6: Truth in Action & Flow : The closing session. Everything you have done over six weeks arrives here. Through a celebration and activation ceremony, you name your commitment out loud in the group container, receive and offer acknowledgment, and carry what summer built forward into your life.
Who Flow Through Summer is for
You’ve spent the year holding things together for everyone else, and you can feel the cost of that in your body even if you can’t name it yet.
You’re already building something, a business, a creative project, a version of yourself, and you need a container that can match your intensity instead of asking you to shrink it.
You sense there’s more aliveness available to you than you’re currently accessing, and that feels both exciting and a little dangerous.
You want a room of your own gender for this work, because some things move differently when they don’t need to be explained first.
You’ve never done yoga, or you’ve been practicing for years. Doesn’t matter. As a certified yoga therapist, Osiris specializes in adaptive approaches. Injuries, chronic conditions, and mobility considerations are addressed individually.
Who Flow Through Summer is not for
If you’re looking for a gentle, restorative practice to help you unwind, this isn’t it. That work has its season, and this isn’t it. If that’s what you need right now, sign up for this news letter to stay up to date with seasonal programs.
If you can’t commit to six consecutive Sundays, this isn’t it. The arc builds, and missing the middle costs you the payoff.
If you’re in active mental health crisis, please seek clinical support first. Yoga therapy is a powerful complement to mental health care, not a replacement for it.
What Flow Through Summer includes
When you enroll, here is what you get:
Six live sessions via Zoom, with recordings after each one. A full session guide with day-by-day practice and journal prompts. A peer community in your cohort. Email support. And a closing activation ceremony at Session 6.
The investment is $1,200 at the Community tier or $1,440 at the Supporter tier, which helps fund broader access for others. Scholarship and work exchange options are available.
On the person leading Flow Through Summer
Osiris Booque didn’t arrive at this work through a straight line. He arrived through burnout.
A lifelong musician and performer, he hit a moment where creative expression alone couldn’t hold everything he was carrying. That search led him through thousands of hours of clinical training, and eventually to a credential that fewer than a handful of people his age and background hold.
His program Flow for Black Lives was recognized as a Top 5 Global Impact Project by the International Association of Yoga Therapists. He has facilitated sessions for Google, Hulu, IKEA, Sony Music, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and UC Davis.
He brings all of that into every session. And he is, by all accounts, actually funny.
Flow Through Summer and the bigger picture
Flow Through Summer doesn't exist in isolation. It's one movement in a larger seasonal cycle at Osiris Yoga Therapy, a rolling annual series of group programs designed to meet people wherever they are in the year and carry them forward. The river metaphor is intentional.
You don't need to have been swimming to join it. You just have to be ready to get in.
The last thing
You don’t need to have your intensity figured out before you enroll. You don’t need prior yoga experience. You don’t need to know exactly what you’re building toward.
Maybe you’ve been holding the line for everyone else and it’s time someone built a container for you. Maybe you’re already in motion and need fuel that can keep up. Maybe you just know it’s time to stop managing the heat and start using it.
All of it is a valid reason to get in the river.
Flow Through Summer is the container for that work.
